Interesting twist on the romantic triangle: one member is in a coma. But Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman pull it off very well. The immediate family, however, tries just a little to hard to be lovable and idiosyncratic.

Gritty film about a small time crook who just wants to be left alone to go straight, but finds himself drawn back into his old life by both his ex-compatriots and the law. Interesting characters, but insecure pacing.
