Megalodon

Release Date: Limbo

Jeffrey Boam is adapting Steven Alten's book about the Megalodon, the prehistoric ancestor to the Great White shark. A man on a sub dive discovers they still survive in a trench at the bottom of the ocean, but is not believed until they start gobbling up people off the Atlantic coast. Rumored casting includes Patrick Stewart, Gene Hackman and Rene Russo. Previously titled Meg. Not to be confused with that other super-shark picture, The Deep Blue Sea. (Buena Vista)
