Lasse Hallstrom directs John Irving's screenplay of his own novel. Tobey Maguire portrays a man who is tied to the orphanage where he grew up and the abortionist (Michael Caine) who runs it. Paul Rudd, Charlize Theron, Kathy Baker, Kieran Culkin, Heavy D, Erykah Badu, Delroy Lindo, Kate Nelligan, Jane Alexander, Liza Weil and Spencer Diamond will also star. (Miramax)
