Desperado -

A wonderfully exciting and hypnotic action film. A fast paced mix of humor and ultraviolence work well in this sequel to El Mariachi. Antonio Banderas is very good in the central role as the enigmatic mariachi, consumed by his thirst for revenge. Steve Buscemi and Cheech Marin also excel in supporting roles. However, Joaquim de Almeida plays the villainous drug czar as the strictly standard psychotic crimelord common to many action films today.
