The Brothers McMullen - * * 1/2*

Moderately enjoyable story of three Irish-American brothers and their varied relationships. The eldest is married, and starting to feel restless. The middle brother is a commitment-avoiding bachelor who comes close to making a commitment. The youngest brother is torn between his religious faith and his on-again, off-again relationship with his long-time girlfriend. Some good dialogue livens up three very typical movie situations. Only the youngest brother’s quest seems fresh and original at times. Overall, probably a good choice for video viewing.
