Bye Bye Love - * *

A comedic look at the lives of three divorced fathers. Paul Reiser plays a father who is losing touch with his teenage daughter. Matthew Modine is another dad who can’t seem to settle down into one relationship. Randy Quaid vents the anger and frustration of divorce as he goes on a blind date from hell and assaults the local talk radio station. The first half plays mostly as a McDonalds commercial. Quaid’s blind date livens up the second half, but the closing wrap-up is a bit contrived. There are a couple of good laughs throughout, but ultimately not enough.
